Hi, I’m Patricia McDonald, Founder & President of the National STEM Society Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit charity on a mission to support leveling the playing field for underrepresented youth, girls, and women interest in STEM education, careers, and fields. SPARK STEM 365 dedication to education enrichment studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to educate, initiate, and innovate young minds of tomorrow in underserved communities, schools, recreational centers, and libraries. We offer Tiny SPARKS of STEM experiences from professional Women in STEM (WIS).
We are delighted to welcome so many content creators to contribute to the intended purpose of the Women In STEM (WIS) Connections digital platform. WIS is a blog dedicated to providing digital support resources during the pandemic in communities across cultures as a reachable solution to STEM enrichment programming and educational tools.
As a full-time mother, caregiver, humanitarian, and Women in STEM Advocate, I was inspired by a group of professional Women in STEM careers to lead the cause to help more underrepresented girls and women. The National STEM Society was born as a grassroots 501c3 charity to offer STEM education enrichment, exhibits, mobile laboratories, and activities as agents of change in underserved communities across cultures. We support the struggle of girls and women interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics higher educational studies, careers, and industry fields after 5th grade. The Founder and President have spent most of her life training and bridging access to Professional Women in STEM careers by developing a database to maintain Women in STEM volunteer, networking connections, and outcomes. The Women in STEM Network of professional women in STEM emerge as WISe enrichment to introduce educational experiences and opportunities for underserved students. WISe offers access to leaders and professionals ready and willing to provide their time, career knowledge sharing, and new networking connections for youth to build leadership skills, confidence, champion the creation of their brand, and gain invested coaching. We will share new events and activities as new ways to get involved, how-to volunteer, and share our SPARK STEM CREW ideal opportunities with you!
